Wanda Lee (Sain) Medler, 89, of Assumption, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2019.

Celebration of life services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019, in Assumption Christian Church, Assumption, IL, with Brock Eckert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to the Assumption Christian Church.

Wanda was born October 20, 1929 in Cisco, IL, the daughter of Firth and Susan (Atchison) Sain.  She married Richard E. Medler December 27, 1950.  He preceded her in death February 24, 2006.

Wanda was a member of Assumption Christian Church.  She belonged to the Assumption Women's Club for over 50 years, joining in 1963. Wanda served as Assumption City Clerk for 12 years.

Surviving are her sons: Jerit (Cindy) Medler, Jon (Theresa) Medler, all of Assumption, IL, and Jim (Tracy) Medler of Manchester, TN; daughters: Jill (Louis) Jordan of Moweaqua, IL and Janet (Jerry) Koons of Pana, IL; sister, Juanita (Frank) Compton of Lakewood, IL; ten grandchildren; one step-grandchild; twenty nine great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her husband, parents, three brothers and five sisters.
