Virgil Earl "Red" House, 91, of Moweaqua, died November 13, 2021 in his home.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua.  Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or Moweaqua Senior Citizens.

Virgil was born on August 29, 1930 in Ewing, IL, the son of Ralph and Mable (Doty) House.  He married Doris Summers on May 28, 1949 in Pocahontas, AR.  She survives.

Virgil was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Moweaqua and served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War era.  He worked for Caterpillar for 38 years, retiring in 1987.

Surviving is his wife, Doris; daughters: Wini (Chip) Aschenbrenner of Niles, MI, Barb & Andrew Keaney of Gautier, MS, Sandi (Rick) Callison of Moweaqua, IL and Earleen Crowson of Louisville, MS; grandchildren: Michelle (Brent) Kastner, Natalie (Tyler) McCullough, Dawn Aschenbrenner, Eric (Nikki) Callison, Josh (Mary Margaret) Crowson and Richard Crowson;  great-grandchildren: Emma, Drew and Meagan McCullough, Jakob and Madelyn Kastner, Cara and Cayden Crowson and Graham Callison; and brothers: Carl House and Ray (Gloria) House.

Preceding him in death are his parents, two brothers and one sister.
