Thomas "TJ" Jacob Gorden, 83, of Moweaqua died August 2, 2013, in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in First Christian Church of Moweaqua.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday, August 5, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.

Burial will be in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Full Military Honors will be accorded by Macon County Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Moweaqua or Elks Children's Care.

"TJ" was born April 16, 1930 in Moweaqua , IL, the son of Orville and Lillie (Bilyeu) Gorden. He married Peggy Wicklein May 16, 1952 in Moweaqua. She survives.

"TJ" was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua, Masonic Lodge #180 AF & AM, of Moweaqua, Ansar Shrine & Consistory of Springfield, American Legion Post #105 of Decatur and Elks BPOE #41 of Decatur. He served in the United States Air Force, serving 2 years in Japan & Korea. "TJ" owned and operated T.J. Gorden Insurance Agency for 40 years.

Surviving are his wife and son, Phil Gorden of Moweaqua.

Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Carl Gorden and sister Marjorie Minor.
