Steven G. Shewmaker, 71, of Moweaqua, died January 3, 2025, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 also in Seitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Traughber Cemetery, Moweaqua.  Memorials may be made to "The Family of Steven G. Shewmaker".

Steven was born on June 16, 1953, in Decatur, IL, the son of William and Melissa (Carr) Shewmaker. He married Pamela A. Younker on December 7, 1974 in Moweaqua, IL.  She preceded him in death on November 26, 2020.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua and enjoyed hunting, camping, and antique tractor pulling. Steven was a truck driver for over 30 years and loved to farm.

Surviving are his son: Josh (Gabby) Shewmaker, of Moweaqua, IL; daughter: Kiley (Josh) Argo, of Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Tayler (Dylan Jones) Argo and Drake Argo, of Taylorville, IL, and Henry and Wade Shewmaker, of Moweaqua, IL; Great-Granddaughter; Oakley Jones, of Taylorville, IL; brothers: Rodger (Dixie) Shewmaker, Brent (Tammie) Shewmaker and sister: Judy (Bill) Miller, all of Moweaqua, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, Pamela, and two grandbabies.
