Steven M. Mitsdarffer, 69, of Assumption, died February 1, 2021 at his home.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Central A&M FFA.

Steven was born on February 24, 1951 in Pana, IL, the son of Roman L "Shorty" and Mary (Rever) Mitsdarffer.  He married Shelia Ann Bough on November 20, 1971 in Assumption, IL.  She preceded him in death in 2000.

Steven was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption and was retired from Christian County FS, after 35 years of service.  He served in the Illinois National Guard and was a diehard Chicago Cubs and Pittsburg Steelers fan.  He loved his grandkids and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Surviving are his children: son, John (Joannie) Mitsdarffer and daughter, Heather (Steven) Durbin all of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Grace (Adam) Snively, Brace DeClerck, Shania Stockdale, Briona Durbin, Maygan Durbin, Abbigail Durbin and Rainey Mitsdarffer; great-grandchildren: Pierce Snively and Katelyn Boulware; sister, Beverly Weakly of Moweaqua, IL; sisters-in-law: Pam (Bill) Roseberry and Shelly (Steve) Dennis of Taylorville, IL; and four nephews.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Shelia, parents and one niece.
