Shirleyanne Allen, 90, of Moweaqua, died March 30, 2021 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2021 in First Christian Church, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Masks are required with social distancing guidelines.  Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua.  Memorials may be made to Donate Life or Cancer Care Specialists.

Shirleyanne was born on October 11, 1930 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Nickey) Hoots. She married Harold D. Allen on June 26, 1948 in Mattoon, IL.  He preceded her in death on September 4, 2004.

Shirleyanne was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua, Moweaqua Lions Club, Order of the Eastern Star and a volunteer at Fair Havens Christian Home.  She was an avid Central A & M Sports supporter.

Surviving are her sons: James (Lola) Allen and Kenneth (Jodi) Allen, all of Moweaqua, IL; daughters: Linda Burge of Moweaqua, IL and Dawn Burge of Macon, IL; son-in-law, Glen Schinzler of Bethlehem, GA; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband; parents; daughter, Louise Schinzler; infant twin daughters; brother, Donald Hoots and sister, Beulah Boyer.
