Sandra "Sandy" J. Taylor, 81, of Taylorville, formerly of Assumption, IL died May 31, 2024 in Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Taylorville, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Beecher City, IL.

Sandy was born on August 16, 1942 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Gayle and Reva Mae (Tirey) Reulecke.  She married Robert W. Taylor on March 26, 1962 in Taylorville, IL.  He preceded her in death on December 3, 1996.

Sandy's passion was her husband and family.  She was dedicated to her job as an Activities Director at several nursing homes in the area for many years.  Her love and care brought immeasurable joy to the residents!

Surviving are her children: Brian (Lynette) Taylor of Hillsboro, IL, Deanna (Bill) Max of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Debbie Norris of Taylorville, IL; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Gayle (Rebecca) Reulecke of Arizona; and sister-in-law, Donna (Dave) Parks of Tennessee.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents and son, Robert "Bobby" Taylor.
