Ruth Ann Cook, 71 of Assumption died December 12, 2012 (5:40 am) in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana IL. Services will be 3:00 pm Friday December 14, 2012 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with Father Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be 1:30 pm until service time. Family requests casual attire. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Altar Society and Assumption Veteran's Memorial.
Ruth was born January 12, 1941 in Assumption, IL the daughter of Thomas William and Theresa ( Brush ) Cook.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Assumption. Ruth attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Assumption High School with the graduating class of 1959. Ruth was a sports enthusiast, following the Chicago Cubs, Assumption softball teams and the Assumption Comets until their last games. The family would like to thank the school district and all the individuals who helped Ruth attend games and banquets during the most memorable times of her life.
Surviving are brother Paul and wife Carol Cook of Assumption and several nieces and nephews. Proceding her in death are her parents, brother Tommy, sisters Theresa Kehl and Janice Rickard and nephew Billy Rickard.
