Russell (Russ) Simpson of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 14 at 74 years old. He was born on April 12, 1950, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Russell E. and Iris Isabelle.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.

Russ grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Iowa State University with a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He enjoyed volunteering as a Ham Radio Operator and a member of the Hamilton County Emergency Services and Disaster Group.

Russ is survived by his wife Judy and daughter Stephanie of Noblesville, Indiana; step-son Dennis Barger Jr. and step-grandchildren Alexander and Kimberly of Carleton, Michigan; niece Cynthia Jones and husband Scott Jones and grandnieces Olivia and Emily Winans of Overland Park, Kansas; niece Diana Conder and husband Corey Conder and grandnephew Carter and grandniece Elizabeth of Humboldt, Tennessee.

Russ was proceeded in death by his parents and two sisters, Susan Carter and Annette Simpson.
