Ruby K. Gray, 90, of Assumption, IL, died October 19, 2015 in Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Charleston, IL.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be from 10-11 Saturday, October 24, 2015. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Tacusah Outreach (Assumption Food Pantry).

Ruby was born May 23, 1925 in Short Creek, KY, the daughter of Willie and Arvie (Edwards) Elder. She married Thomas E. Gray in Sullivan, IL June 19, 1943. He preceded her in death July 8, 2004.

Ruby formerly worked for Progress Casket Company in Arthur, IL and for her husband as Part-time Bookkeeper at Dunkel Elevator.

Surviving are her sons, Gene (Janet) Gray of Mattoon, IL and Rick (Elvira) Gray of Assumption, IL; daughter, Robin (Brian) Perry of Argenta, IL; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ivan (Mary Ann) Elder of Mattoon, IL and sister, Pansy (Mac) Bumpus of Charleston, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and brothers, Denzil and Larry Elder.
