Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Scribner, Sr., 78, of Assumption, passed away peacefully October 31, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronnie was born on September 20, 1943 in Hillsboro, IL, the son of Oral Ralph and Lena (Harris) Scribner.  He was an avid coin collector and collected guns as well.  He enjoyed spending time with his dog, " Mr. Bradley".

Surviving are his children: Ronald (Jennifer) Scribner, Jr. of Decatur, IL and Crystal (Troy) Lindsay of Assumption, IL; grandkids: Brandon (Courtney), Austin (Emily), Ashley (Tim), Shelby (Hunter), Britni and Trevor; great-grandkids: Nevaeh, Bryker, Brinley, Brooklynn, Cayneisha and Celina; several nieces and nephews; and his loyal canine companion, " Mr. Bradley".

Preceding him in death are his parents, brothers, Joseph and Ralph and sister, Beverly.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
