Ronald "Ron" L. Clutter, 73, of Assumption, died August 3, 2017, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017, also in the church. Burial with Full Military Rites will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Casey Williams Foundation.
Ron was born April 19, 1944, in Assumption, IL, the son of William C. and Lula May (Britton) Clutter. He married Kay Bantner July 25, 1964 in Assumption. She survives.
Ron was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption, Assumption VFW Tacusah Post #6577, Knights of Columbus Council #1026, and a Charter Member of Assumption Bass Club. Ron was a Vietnam Veteran and worked for Mueller Company for 42 years. He loved to fish, hunt and garden.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Kay; daughter, Kelly (Zach) Manhart and granddaughter, Mallory Manhart all of Moweaqua; brother, Richard Clutter of Assumption; sisters: Carolyn Rentfro of Decatur, Ilene Binnion of Shelbyville, and Doris Jannink of Pana. He leaves behind many cherished family members and good friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
