Robert L. Vilmure, 87, of Shelbyville, died October 17, 2020, in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana, IL.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020, in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to Bethany Fire & Ambulance Protection District.

Robert was born December 19, 1932 in Pana, IL, the son of Leo and Laveda (Henderson) Vilmure.  He married Marilyn A. Abraham  February 9, 1957 in Decatur, IL.  She preceded him in death on July 15, 2018.

Robert worked for many years as the manager of the Bethany Grain Elevator. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was member of Assumption VFW Tacusah Post #6577.

Surviving are his sons: Robert (Spring) Vilmure of Dupo, IL and Daniel (Barbara) Vilmure of Rockaway Beach, MO; daughters: Jo Beth (Allan) Huskey of Maroa, IL and Susan (Todd) Enz of Argenta, IL; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and sister, Marilyn (Bill) Harvey of Huntsville, AL.

Preceding him in death are his wife and parents.
