Robert Martin Smith, 74, of Moweaqua died May 15, 2015, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at First Christian Church of Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 also at the church. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua with Full Military Honors. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Kemmerer Village.

Robert was born October 29, 1940, in Peoria, IL the son of Ralph and Edith (Martin) Smith. He married Marilyn Donnel in Pekin, IL July 21, 1973. She preceded him in death July 24, 2014.

Robert was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua, Illinois Lodge #263 AF & AM, Valley of Peoria Scottish Rite and Shrine of Peoria. He was a retired administrative assistant for the Illinois Department of Public Aid. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving from October 1963- October 1965. He will be missed by his group of friends who he enjoyed drinking coffee with daily.

Surviving are his children: Candice (Mark) Garwood of Canton, MI, Carmel (Rick) Witte of San Diego, CA, and Brandon (Corinne) Smith of Taylorville, IL and grandchildren: Eli & Nora Garwood, Rio Witte and Reagan & Logan Smith.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents and brother, Richard C. Smith.
