Richard L. Schutte, 64, of Decatur, died January 6, 2019 in his home.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Richard was born January 24, 1954 in Nokomis, IL, the son of Clyde and Ora (Hall) Schutte.  He was retired from Jan-Master of Decatur as a supervisor at Richland Community College.

Surviving are his sisters: Barbara (Richard) Gregory of Moweaqua, IL and Geraldine (Bill) Rozevink of Fremont, NE; also surviving is his companion and caregiver, Shellie Carter, of Decatur, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Donald Schutte; sister Sandra Heath; nephew, Jeffrey Gregory and niece, Stacy Heath.
