Richard Evaschuk, 77, long-time resident of Wheaton, Illinois, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Richard was born on January 9, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York and is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elizabeth Jane (nee Demascal) Evaschuk and his loving daughters, Cathy (Richard) Pearlman of Chicago, Valerie Ripple of Skokie and five grandchildren. He was preceded in his death by his parents, Ernest and Dorothy Evaschuk and his brothers, Ernie and Bobby Evaschuk. Rich was a retired Sheetmetal worker, a school bus driver and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Seitz Funeral Home in Assumption. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass at St. Mary's Church will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th with burial to follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Assumption. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
