Richard Dale "Dick" Watts, 89, of Decatur, passed away peacefully November 21, 2017, in Moweaqua Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.
Per Dick's wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to Pet Partners Therapy Animals c/o Seitz Funeral Home 118 E. Main St. Moweaqua, IL 62550.
Dick was born November 4, 1928 in Detroit, MI, the son of Boyd S. and Helen M. (Amling) Watts. He married Phyllis Eileen Lane; she preceded him in death in 1996. He was later married to Iona Jones.
Dick was affiliated with Prairie Avenue Christian Church of Decatur, IL and a United States Navy Veteran. His working career was in printing, starting in high school. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Decatur, working for Kellington Printing which later became Tippett Press. Dick was a craftsman and the owner and operator of Tippett Press from 1960 - 1984 and was an avid bowler and crappie fisherman.
Surviving are his sons: Lane Watts of Torrance, CA, Steve (Sue) Watts of Decatur, IL and Mark Watts of Maroa, IL; son-in-law, Jim Bayler of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Andy (Nicole) Bayler and James Sandt; great-grandchildren: Trent and Jake Bayler; step-grandchildren: Stacey Hinton and Ryan (Teresa) Hinton; and step-great-granddaughter, Madisen Cooley-Davis.
Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Phyllis; daughters: Gale Yankus and Lynn Bayler; daughter-in-law, Loretta Riley; and brothers, David Watts and Duane WattsVisits: 0
