Raymond Charles Spaniol, 64, of Fort Wayne, IN, died June 5, 2026 in his home.

Ray was born on January 6, 1962 in Harvey, IL, the son of Charles A. and Nancy (Spencer) Spaniol.  He married Jennifer M. Swayne on April 18, 2026 in Fort Wayne, IN.

Ray proudly served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of Desert Storm. He served fellow veterans as an electrician for the VA Healthcare system.  Ray enjoyed swimming, running, and hunting; watching the Bears, Cubs, and Fighting Illini; and spending time with family, friends, and his faithful companions, Max and Millie, whom he loved dearly.  Perhaps most of all, Ray loved comedy sketches, humor, and sharing hearty laughter with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer; brother, Douglas (Anne) Spaniol of Indianapolis, IN; sisters: Helen (Pete) Bosse of San Antonio, TX and Loretta (James) Hedges of Decatur, IL; and nieces and nephews: Brian, Dan, Jack, Mitch, Felix, and Evan.

Preceding him in death are his parents and beloved sister, Janine.
