Phillip L. DeClerck, 95, of Moweaqua, died September 13, 2023 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Phillip was born on February 20, 1928 in Assumption, IL, the son of Phillip and Mary Lou (Shipman) DeClerck.  He married Mary Lousie Herich on October 28, 1949 in Macon, IL.  She preceded him in death on December 1, 2001.

Phillip was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Moweaqua and Assumption VFW Tacusah Post #6577.  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and formerly worked for Borg Warner.

Surviving are his daughters: Mary Jo Robinson of Moweaqua, IL and Diane (Paul) Workman of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren: Aaron (Darlene) Workman of DeSoto, IL and Amy (JD) Malone of Moweaqua, IL; great-grandchildren: Lainey Workman, Morgan Malone, and Gavin Malone; and sister, Mary Kay Brown of Assumption, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, four brothers and grandson, Matthew Workman.
