Paul D. Grimes, 68, of Moweaqua passed away in his home, November 14, 2015.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November, 18, 2015 also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Pana, IL with Full Military Rites by Moweaqua American Legion Post #370. Memorials may be made to Moweaqua American Legion Post #370.

Paul was born December 16, 1946 in Pana, IL, the son of Harry and Wava (Wilson) Grimes. He married Roberta Sandusky on June 21, 1969. She survives.

Paul served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne in the Vietnam War in 1966 and 1967. He was a long time member of the Moweaqua VFW and the Moweaqua American Legion Post #370. He was known for always being willing to help anyone he could and he loved gardening, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Roberta; daughters: Jen Grimes of Schaumburg, IL and Paula Grimes of Lakewood. CO; brothers: Jim Grimes of Pana, IL and Frank Grimes of Oconee, IL; sister, Wanda Kirby of Moweaqua, IL; and many nieces & nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Michelle; sisters: Cora Olinger and Lu Hill ; and brother Russel Grimes.
