DATELINE: ASSUMPTION

Patricia Ann Cox, 84, of Assumption died December 29, 2014, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015, in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Patricia was born September 17, 1930 in Assumption, the daughter of Frank H. and Clyda Rhea (Reynolds) McCarty. She married George F. Cox May 19, 1965 in Lincoln, IL. He preceded her in death February 22, 2006.

Patricia was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God and the Lions Club of Tower Hill for 22 years. She was retired from Vonderlieth Living Center, where she worked as a CNA.

Surviving are her sons: Roger Cox of Assumption, Carl Galvin, David (Sandy) Galvin of Lincoln, Mike (Linda) Galvin of Lincoln and Terry (Jenny) Galvin of Cornland, IL; daughters: Barbara (Jerry) Ludoux of Apache Junction, AR, Debbie (Wayne) Woolen of Sullivan, IL, Diane (Phillip) Birdwell of Sullivan, IL and Vickie (Dennis) Faber of Auburn, IL; step-children: Marcella, Rozella, Bill and George Jr.; sisters: Marty (Terry) Sloan of Atlanta, IL and Juanita (Fred) McDaniel of Greenfield, TN and sister-in-law Essa Campbell of Assumption; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, daughter Patty Sue Galvin, step-daughter Debbie Ishmael, brother Roy Campbell and grandson Billy Dean Birdwell.
