Oreland E. Johnson, 71, of Nokomis, IL died October 26, 2016 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, IL. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., prior to service time, also in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Assumption, IL.

Oreland was born August 22, 1945 in Fillmore, IL, the son of Warren B. and Lennella R. (McDaniel) Johnson. He married Ruth Ann Burke in Taylorville, IL September 8, 1973. She survives.

Oreland was affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church of Nokomis, IL and was retired as security for the Illinois Secretary of State.

Surviving is his wife; sons: Brian (Jessica) Johnson of Golden Meadow, LA and Daniel (Tia) Johnson of Nokomis, IL; daughters: Teresa Johnson-Paul of Taylorville, IL and Bonnie (Clayton) Beck of Pana, IL; grandchildren: Sean Paul, Nicholas Paul, Josephine Beck, Annabelle Beck, Nathaniel Beck, Jenna Paine and Paige Johnson; sisters: Kathryn (Jack) Wolverton and Sheryl (Martin) Elam, all of Nokomis, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents and brother, Gerald Johnson.
