Norma Jean Jackson, 94, of Assumption, died January 25, 2023, in her home.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Norma was born on June 10, 1928 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Grace (Germann) Muir. She married Royal Junior Jackson on August 13, 1949, in Pickett, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1991.

Norma was a member of Assumption United Methodist Church. She worked many years as a postal clerk for USPS. She also worked for Walmart. Norma was very proud of her work.

Surviving is her son, Royal (Pam) Jackson; daughters: Rowena Pfeffer, and Justine Jackson, All of Assumption; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; 2 brothers; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
