Nina May Pearl Mortweet, 96, of Rantoul, formerly of Moweaqua, died May 21, 2023 in Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Christian Life Church in Rantoul, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Life Church.

Nina was born on November 14, 1926 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Workman) Marmor.  She married Donald Wayne Mortweet in Moweaqua, IL.  He preceded her in death.

Nina attended St. John's School of Nursing and began her nursing career with Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.  She later worked for Christie Clinic, where she worked for 56 years, finally retiring at age 87.

Surviving are her daughters: Sandra S. Mortweet of Rantoul, IL and Betty E. (Richard) Mortweet Nelson of Madwiska, ME; four grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Rose Mortweet; brother, James Marmor; and sisters: Mary Ellen Burgener and Rose Marmor.
