Nancy I. Hocker, 90, of Moweaqua, died August 18, 2018, in the Eastern Star Home, Macon, IL.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, IL.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua.  Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Moweaqua or Eastern Star Home of Macon.  The family request casual attire.

Nancy was born October 24, 1927 in Moweaqua, the daughter of Charles P. and Lucille M. (Cheatum) Baker.  She married Jesse Schmahl, in Moweaqua, November 15, 1946. She later married Everett Hocker, in Las Vegas, July 1984.  He preceded her in death August 1989.

Nancy was affiliated with First Christian Church of Moweaqua, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and formerly worked for K's Merchandise in Decatur, IL for many years.

Surviving are her sons: Jesse W. "Buck" (Louise) Schmahl of Assumption, IL and Wayne M. (Dixie) Schmahl of Moweaqua, IL; daughters: Phyllis Ann (John) Mariner of Divernon, IL and Katherine (Dean) Etherton of Mt. Zion, IL: step son, Bill Hocker of Sullivan, IL; fifteen grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Sims of Belleville, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Everett; parents; step father, Homer Atteberry and brother, Paul Baker.
