Michael "Mike" R. Dawkins, 68 of Moweaqua died August 24, 2013, in his home.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, in Seitz Funeral Home.
Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery, Flora, IL.
Memorials may be made to Central A&M Promoters (CAMP).
Mike was born June 6, 1945, in Louisville, IL, the son of Roy and Viola (O'dell) Dawkins Jr.
Mike was retired after 33 years of teaching at Moweaqua and Central A&M High Schools.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and fishing.
Surviving are his son Bret (Alice) Dawkins of Moweaqua; daughter Dana (Michael) DeCarlo of Olathe, KS; grandchildren: Will, Mae and Sylvia Dawkins of Moweaqua and Alexandra, Addison and Charlie DeCarlo of Olathe, KS; sister Sandie Caplinger of Louisburg, KS.
Preceding him in death are his parents.
