Michele C. Connelly, 66, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Assumption, IL, died April 10, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Michele was born September 18, 1954 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Clarence S. and Betty M. Connelly.

She graduated with a B.S. degree from Millikin University, Decatur, IL and a M.S. degree from Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis).  Michele worked over 40 years in cancer research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.  She attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brothers, Timothy P. Connelly (Lynn) of Glenarm, IL and Michael C. Connelly (Claudia) of Springfield, IL, six nieces and nephews, and one grandnephew.
