Michael F. James, 73, of Moweaqua, formerly of Bloomington, died August 29, 2016 in Moweaqua Rehabilitation & Health Care.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 2, 2016 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, in Seitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Fame Evangelical Church or First Christian Church of Moweaqua.

Michael was born September 1, 1942 in Decatur, IL, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Sanders) James. He married Elenor Jordan July 6, 1963 in Moweaqua. She survives.

Michael was a member of Fame Evangelical Church of Moweaqua and was a retired Police Officer for the Bloomington Police Department.

Surviving is his wife, Elenor; son, Greg (Bethany) James of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Macey & Colin James of Pittsfield, IL; brothers, Ron (Eileen) James of Decatur, IL and Bill (Ada) James of Highlands Ranch, CO; brother-in-law, Jim (Pat) Jordan of Moweaqua and sisters-in-law, Wanda Jacobs of Moweaqua, Anna (Dick) Armstrong of Decatur and Norma Dowd of Moweaqua.

Preceding him in death are his parents.
