DATELINE: ASSUMPTION
F. Maxine (Yunker) Turntine, 96, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of the Assumption area, died April 27, 2014 in Corner Brook Care Center.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Friday May 16, 2014 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.
Memorials may be made to Cross Roads Hospice.
Maxine was born August 21, 1917 in Hayes, SD.
Maxine was a devoted mother, grandmother and a lifetime member of the VFW. She worked for Grace Co. in Belton, MO. and Lee Co. in Kansas until retiring in 1982.
Surviving are her daughters, Erma Hughes, Ruby (Charles) Jones and Lois (Bill) Stafford; sons, Bob (Rose) Turntine, Gary (Judy) Turntine and Don (Gloria) Turntine; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; brother Lowell (Charlene) Yunker; sisters Reatha (Fred) Willett and
Margret Sharrett.
