DATELINE: ASSUMPTION

Maxine E. Creamer, 93, of Assumption died August 5, 2014 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption, IL.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Prayer service will follow at 7 p.m.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Altar Society.

Maxine was born March 22, 1921 in Atwood,IL,the daughter of Icell and Marie (Schroder) Carroll. She married Emmett Paul Creamer, a farmer of Assumption, November 27, 1954 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death November 11, 1991.

Maxine was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of St. Mary's Altar Society. She lived a life of fullness every day. Her interests included family, gardening, reading and a love of animals. Maxine devoted her life to her children, including her husband until he passed away at the age of 72. Maxine would say she lived for her children; they put a smile on her face every time she was near them.

Surviving are her two sons: Patrick (Mary Ann) Creamer and Michael (Liana) Creamer all of Assumption; grandchildren: Ryan (Amanda) Creamer of Tower Hill and Stacy (Joey) Houk of Shelbyville, both children of Patrick and Mary Creamer, and Alex Creamer of Mt. Zion, son of Michael Creamer; step-grandson Vitaly Pinegin of Ternopil, Ukraine; great-grandchildren: Payton and Emmett Creamer, children of Ryan and Amanda; Taylor, Reese and Drake, children of Stacy and Joey.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and five brothers.

Maxine had a wonderful and caring heart and will be missed very much.
