Max Leon Moore, 70, of Champaign, IL died July 11, 2014, in Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Thursday, July 17, 2014 in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Moweaqua or Foursquare Church of Decatur.

Max was born January 22, 1944, in Decatur, IL the son of Arlie and Mabel (Mast) Moore. He married Nancy Ernest in Decatur June 26, 1963. They divorced and he later married Barbara Jean Bagley August 27, 1979. She preceded him in death September 11, 2013.

Max was a member of Foursquare Church of Decatur. He was a self- employed carpenter who enjoyed restoring old cars. Max loved spending time with family, friends and his Steak N' Shake buddies.

Surviving is his son Richard Moore of Urbana, IL; daughters: Cathy (James) Rarick of Moweaqua, IL and Brittany (Chris) Flanders of Urbana, IL; grandchildren: Lori (David) Stockwill, Tammy Deckard, Jessica Hildreth, Clint Moore, Chris Moore, Brandon Rarick, Brittany Rarick and Harley Moore; great-grandchildren: Bryce Moore and Christian Moore; Sisters: Fern (Carl) Mathews of Allen, TX , Linda Osborn of North Richland Hills, TX and Norma (Bill) Sparks of Cerro Gordo, IL; brother Viron Moore and companion Glen of Decatur, IL; half- brother Ralph Moore of Atlanta, GA and half-sister Marcella Lenhardet of Lincoln, IL. and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, ex-wife Nancy Walsh, wife Barbara Jean Moore and brother-in-law Jim Osborn.

The family would like to thank the staff at Carle Hospital and Lori Stockwill for their loving care of Max.
