Mary A. Zindel, 86, of Moweaqua, died May 1, 2015, in Hickory Point Christian Village, Forsyth, IL.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Fame Evangelical Church of Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Fame Evangelical Church or Moweaqua Food Pantry.

Mary was born in Blue Mound, IL., January 28, 1929, the daughter of Raymond and Anna May (Lawton) Elder. She married Ralph Zindel in Mt. Auburn, IL, June 24, 1951. He preceded her in death October 9, 1999.

Mary was a member of Fame Evangelical Church of Moweaqua, Tacusah Chapter #682, O.E.S., Christian County Home Extension and a former 4-H Leader for 20 years. She graduated from Blue Mound High School and received a degree from Illinois State University in Home Economics.

Surviving are her children: Kenneth (Susan) Zindel of Assumption, IL, Carol (Larry) Reed of Forsyth, IL, and Carl (Debbie) Zindel of Stanford, IL; grandchildren: Melissa, Jacob and Callie Zindel, Matthew, Brian (Lynne) and Erin Reed, Carissa (Lawrence) Tucker, Zachary and Dylan Zindel; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, brother, Donald Elder and sister, Eloise Brown.
