Mary E. Swinnen, 91, of Assumption, IL died November 1, 2013 in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption, IL.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, IL. Prayer service will follow at 7:00 PM.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption, IL.

Memorials may be made to Assumption Food Pantry.

Mary was born August 23, 1922 in Niantic, IL the daughter of Warren and Irena (Parks) Lindsey. She married Bill Swinnen in Assumption, IL January 10, 1948. He preceded her in death April 28, 1989.

Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Assumption Optimist Club, and Assumption Historical Society.

Surviving are her daughter Martha (James) Majerczak of Arlington Heights, IL and grandson Josh (DeDe) Majerczak of Fox Lake, IL. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents and two sisters: Louise Lindsey and Katherine Davis.
