Mary Ann Stiner, 74, of Moweaqua died October 13, 2015, in Moweaqua Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015, also in Seitz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to Moweaqua Ambulance Service, Moweaqua Lions Club or Moweaqua Business Association.

Mary Ann was born November 8, 1940 in Moweaqua, IL, the daughter of Dick A. and Helen M. (Smull) Gaither. She married Carl Stiner Jr. February 11, 1961, in Moweaqua. He preceded her in death June 27, 2010.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Bethany High School class of 1958, attended Sparks Business College in Shelbyville and then worked for Post Jewelry and Long's Plumbing. Mary Ann and her husband Carl purchased Long's Plumbing in 1978, changing the name to Stiner's Plumbing, Inc.

Mary Ann was a member of Sanner Chapel United Methodist Church of Moweaqua, Decatur Women Moose Lodge Chapter 36, Moweaqua Ambulance Board and Moweaqua Lions Club, where she was an avid Bingo worker. She had an integral role in the Moweaqua Veterans Memorial Park, Moweaqua Sesquicentennial and Moweaqua Pow-Wow Days, where she and Carl were honored as Grand Marshalls of the Pow Wow Parade in 2001.

Surviving are her children: Carl Richard Stiner (Fiancée Leslie McDaniel and son, Seth McDaniel) of Moweaqua, Carla Ann (Doug) Black of Taylorville, IL, and Curtis Dean (Christy) Stiner of St. Joseph, IL.; grandchildren: Blake Douglas Thomas, Amanda Jo (Travis) Mansur, Whitney Lee Gosser-Stiner, Connor Douglas Black and Chase Curtis Stiner; great-grandson Carter William Thomas; brother, David Lee (Kathy) Gaither of Moweaqua and brother-in-law, Robert (Marianne) Stiner of Maroa, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband and parents.
