Mary J. Pursell, 81, of Assumption, IL, formerly of Tulsa, OK died April 27, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Mary was born January 11, 1935 in Breese, IL, the daughter of Phillip S. and Theresa (Wood) Pugh. She married Billy E. Pursell April 23, 1955 in Tulsa, OK. He preceded her in death in 2008.
Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church of Assumption, IL and a graduate of Oklahoma A & M College. She formerly worked for B & R Hudson Electrical Contractors of Tulsa, OK for 35 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Christi (Jason) Myers of Assumption, IL; grandchildren, Chanda Pursell of Wagoner, OK and Trae Myers of Assumption, IL; brothers, Richard "Dick" (Betty) Pugh of Mobile, AL and Duane (Martha) Pugh of Huston, TX; brother-in-law, Robert West of Tulsa, OK; nephew, Phillip (Alicia) West of Tulsa, OK and many more nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents and sister, Sandra Pugh West.
Per Mary's wishes, there will be no services.
