Mary Alice Mathias, 102, of Assumption, died April 29, 2020, in her home.

Private graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2020 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials made be made to First United Methodist Church of Assumption or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, c/o Seitz Funeral Home 118 E. Main St. Moweaqua, IL 62550.

Mary Alice was born on August 22, 1917 in Assumption, IL, the daughter of John and Iva (Miller) Mathias, Sr.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Assumption and United Methodist Women.  Mary Alice was a beautician and worked in the Decatur area for 30 years.

Surviving is her sister, Doris Mathias of Assumption, IL; sister-in-law, Phyllis Mathias of Moweaqua, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding  her in death are her parents; brothers: John Mathias, Jr. and Lyle Mathias, Sr.; and sisters: Irma Barringer and Lila Caulk.
