Mary Claire Gelsinger, 92, of Assumption, IL died December 28, 2013 in Taylorville Care Center, Taylorville, IL.

Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2014 in Assumption Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Assumption.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Assumption.

Mary Claire was born July 3, 1921 in Assumption,IL the daughter of Glen and Metta Lois (Homrighouse) Lovering. She married Nelson R. Gelsinger in Assumption, December 2, 1967. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1998.

Mary Claire was a member of Assumption United Methodist Church where she was the organist for 57 years. She worked for Assumption CO-OP and Trumper Oil of Assumption as bookkeeper.

Surviving are her son, John Jermaine of Springfield, IL and daughter-in-law, Cathy Jermaine of Assumption; grandchildren, Glenda (Kevin) Huss of Taylorville, IL and Michael Jermaine and Katie Jermaine of Assumption.

Preceding her in death is her husband.
