Mary C. Galvin, 105, of Assumption, died August 27, 2020, in Heritage Manor, Pana, IL.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020, in St. Mary's Catholic Church , Assumption, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Please wear masks and practice social distancing.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Assumption.  Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption.

Mary was born November 23, 1914 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Frank and Johanna (Russell) Barry.  She married Marion Galvin June 25, 1933 in Assumption, IL.  He preceded her in death April 4, 1978.

Mary was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption, St. Mary's Altar Society and Golden Girls Bridge Club.  She enjoyed playing the piano and attending card club on Thursdays.

Surviving are her sons: Charles W. Galvin of Taylorville, IL, and James E. Galvin of Assumption, IL; daughters:  Joan Beamer of Nokomis, IL and Dorothy (Alan) McMaster of Leesburg, VA; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Marion, son, Marion Joseph "Joe", infant son, Michael, parents, one grandson, brothers, Russell, Ray, Wayne, Joseph and Charles Barry, sister, Regina Beyers and son-in-law, Kenneth Lynn Beamer.
