Mary Catherine Fathauer, 66, of Moweaqua, died August 7, 2023 in her home, surrounded by family.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.  Memorials may be made to the family of Mary Fathauer c/o Seitz Funeral Home, 118 E. Main St., Moweaqua, IL 62550.

Mary was born on November 11, 1956, the daughter of Orville and June (Riley) Schmahl.  She married Michael Fathauer on February 18, 1977 in the Church of the Nazarene in Assumption, IL.  He survives.

Mary was affiliated with First Christian Church of Moweaqua.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and worked as a CNA at Eastern Star Home in Macon, IL for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Michael; daughter, Candi Jo (Russell) Hazelwonder of Moweaqua; son, Craig (Angie) Fathauer of Moweaqua, IL; grandchildren: Samantha, Riley, Jasmine, Christian, Tanner, Evelyn, Bradley, and Bella; mother, June Schmahl, of Moweaqua, IL; sisters: Peggy Standley-Lewis of Virginia, Stacey Adamson of Moweaqua, IL, Leslie (Rick) Stiner of Moweaqua, IL, and Mendie (Michael) Gregory of N. Carolina; and extended family, Tannie Grant of Iowa and Shelia Kerby of Moweaqua, IL.

Preceding her in death is her father, Orville Schmahl.
