Marilyn K. Jostes, 75, of Assumption died September 4, 2014, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 8, 2014 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption, IL.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm.

Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Nokomis, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Marilyn was born March 11, 1939 in Pana, IL, the daughter of Guy and Eleanor (Stalets) Wharton. She married Robert W. Jostes on June 6, 1959 in St. Louis Catholic Church of Nokomis, IL. He survives.

Marilyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption and St. Mary's Altar Society. She was a homemaker.

Surviving is her husband Robert; son Robert S. (Terri) Jostes of Marysville, OH; daughters: Lori A. Jostes of Winston-Salem, NC and Lisa K. (Ida) Jostes of Rolling Meadows, IL; granddaughter Katie Jostes of Marysville, OH; brother James R. (Bev) Wharton of Sioux City, IA and sister Judy Kaydus of Taylorville, IL.

Preceding her in death are her parents and one brother.
