Lugenia Dean, 98, of Macon, IL, formerly of Assumption, IL, died March 26, 2017 in Eastern Star Home, Macon, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be made to Eastern Star Home Fund.

Lugenia was born March 2, 1919 in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Kinney Edward and Mary E. "Maza" (Moore) Bugg. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church of Assumption and Tacusah Chapter #682 Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Past Worthy Matron. She was a medical secretary in Decatur for many years.

Lugenia was known for her kindness, wit and smile.

Surviving is her granddaughter, Laura Akers, Oklahoma City, OK, and greatgrandchildren Sarai Miller Williams and Zechariah Miller of Florida.

Preceding her in death are her parents; son, Ronald E. Gorden; daughter, Mary Kaye Gould and three brothers, Harold D. Bugg, James H. Bugg and Maurice Bugg.
