Lorena V. Levitt, 92, of Assumption, formerly of Kankakee and Bourbonnais, died March 4, 2024 in Legacy Living, Jasper, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.

Lorena was born on June 26, 1931 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Gladys (Phelps) Sinnard.  She married Bernie Levitt on May 10, 1969 in Assumption, IL.  He preceded her in death.

Lorena was a member of College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais, IL.  She enjoyed traveling, hummingbirds, and all animals, but most of all she loved the many students she taught and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her sister Phyllis (Gerald) Lynch of Loogootee, IN; sisters-in-law: Loretta Sinnard of Assumption, IL and Glenda Sinnard of Mt. Zion, IL; many nieces and nephews; great- nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and brothers, Bob Sinnard and Bill Sinnard.
