DATELINE: ASSUMPTION

Lillie Huffer, 91, of Assumption passed away June 11, 2013 following a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Services will be 11:00 am Friday, June 14, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption.

Visitation will be 10:00 am until service time.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption.

Memorials may be made to Casey Williams Foundation or Assumption Christian Church.

Lillie was born July 12, 1921 in Fayette County, IL the daughter of Jack and Jesse (Moore) Rogers. She married Walter Huffer September 25, 1943 in Olney, IL. To this union was born two daughters, Judy and Linda.

Lillie is survived by her daughters; Judy (Duane Roberts) of Mountain Home, AR and Linda (Keith Phegley) of Assumption, IL., grandchildren; Tonya (Ron) LePlatt, Scott (Shaelynn) Woods, Steven (Sandra) Roberts, Mike (Jamie) Roberts and step-grandchild Kourtney Phegley, great-grandchildren; Casey, Lance, Caleb and Lyndi Woods ,Lilly and Emily LePlatt, Jennifer and Jeremy Roberts and sister Hazel Wyckoff of Effingham, IL.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Walter, four brothers and one sister in infancy.

Lillie was a cook at Edi's Dairy Bar and Mac's Diner in Assumption. She will always be known for her wonderful pies and her unconditional love for her entire family.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Moweaqua Nursing Home for the excellent care given there.
