Leslie Gene "Les" Bright, 78, of Moweaqua, died January 20, 2021 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.  Memorials may be made to  Boy Scout Troop 85 or Moweaqua Fire Department.

Les was born on January 27, 1942 in Moweaqua, IL, the son of Eljoseph Dean and Christena E. (Newman) Bright.  He married Carolyn Myers on October 14, 1961 in Assumption, IL. She survives.

Les was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Decatur, IL.  He was a retired lineman with Ameren Illinois and an avid golfer.

Surviving is his wife, Carolyn; sons: Les (Stephanie) Bright of League City, TX and Chris (Heather) Bright of Moweaqua, IL; grandchildren: Kelli, Allison, Zac, Grace and Frankie; great-granddaughter, Kinsley; brother, Charles (Genevieve) Bright of Schaumburg, IL; and sisters: Cathy (David) Hambrecht of Decatur, IL and Nancy Brown of Moweaqua, IL.

Preceding him in death are his parents and four brothers.
