LeRoy Allen Ramsey 82, of Moweaqua died Friday September 7, 2012 (7:44 pm) in Mason Point, Sullivan,IL.

Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in First Christian Church, Moweaqua.

Visitation will be from 5-8 Tuesday, September 11,2012 in First Christian Church, Moweaqua.

Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua,IL.

Memorials may be made to Mason Point or Central A&M High School football program.

LeRoy was born on September 19,1929, in Brookfield,MO . He was the son of Clifford and Pauline (McCollum) Ramsey. He married Verna Jean Reynolds in Virginia, Illinois on June 1, 1949. She preceded him in death on January 15, 1994.

LeRoy was a member of the First Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge. Roy and his brother, Paul, operated service stations in Macon and Moweaqua, and provided faithful service to the communities for almost 50 years.

Surviving are his sons Steve and wife Peggy of Tremont, IL; Rusty and wife Julie of Moweaqua, IL; Mark and wife Stephanie of Moweaqua,IL; daughter Amy and husband Danny Maxheimer of Evansville, IL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren: brothers Jerry Ramsey of Springfield, IL; Bob and wife Sally Ramsey of Fort Collins, CO

He was preceded by his wife, parents, infant granddaughter, and 2 brothers.

The family would like to thank Darin and the staff at Mason Point for all the loving care they gave Roy.
