Laura M. (Hunter) Allen, 70, of Assumption, died July 4, 2025, in her home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Soldiers and Dogs.

Laura was born on November 10, 1954 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Paul B. and Beverly (Moma) Cochran, Sr. and step-father, Rudolph V. "Rudy" Endrizzi.  She married Lonnie Hunter on September 25, 1971 in Assumption, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 1, 1993.  Laura later married David Allen on February 14, 2006 in Taylorville, IL.  He survives.

Laura was affiliated with Memorial Presbyterian Church of Assumption, IL and was a proud graduate of the Assumption High School Comets, Class of 1972.  She loved spending time with her grandkids and was an avid collector of numerous collectibles.

Surviving are her husband, David; sons: Daniel Hunter and Matthew (Stephanie) Hunter, both of Assumption, IL; grandchildren: Morgan, Hailey (Yeager) Minott, Alyssa, Madison, Brynn, and Ashlyn: great-grandson, Duke; step-children: Kyle (Tiffany) Allen of Texas and Amy (Shannon) Lynch of Kentucky; brothers: Paul B. Cochran, Jr. of Assumption, Aubie (Barb) Endrizzi and Shane (Janice) Endrizzi, all of Harristown, IL; sisters: Lisa Turner of Gulf Shores, AL and Amber Endrizzi of Harristown, IL; and step-grandchildren: Kylan, Karsen, Braxton, Sloane, Emma, and Rylie.

Preceding her in death are her parents; step-father; husband, Lonnie Hunter; sister, Cindy; and step-daughter, Angie Smith.
