LaRose Sparling, 91, of Moweaqua died July 31, 2013, in Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2013, in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2013 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, IL.
Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans of America or Gideon's International.
LaRose was born December 18, 1921, in Moweaqua,IL, the daughter of Clayton and Maude (Porter) Sheppard. She married James Sparling in Moweaqua December 7, 1943. He preceded her in death June 24, 2009.
LaRose was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Moweaqua. She was a loving mother and a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons: Jim (Debbie) Sparling of Moweaqua, IL and Alan (Anna) Sparling of Chehalis, WA, grandchildren: Josh (Tyelle) Dukeman of Moweaqua, IL, Jake Sparling of Seattle, WA and Larisa (Lauren McCane) Sparling of Seattle, WA, great-grandchildren: Doyle and Dax Dukeman of Moweaqua, IL.
Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
