Juanita C. Jones, 86, of Moweaqua, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away December 28, 2021 in Shelbyville Manor, with her family by her side.

Public visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Private graveside services will be held in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.

Juanita was born on April 23, 1935 in Bloomington, IL.  She married John Paul Jones on December 15, 1954, in Colorado.  He preceded her in death in 2004.

Surviving are her daughters: Diana (Bruce) Chapman of Moweaqua, IL and Karen Scherer of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren: Jennifer, Melissa, Rachel, Christine, Steven, Matt, Molly, Amanda, Amy, Jason and Evan; several great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and sisters-in-law; and a son-in-law.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, John P. Jones; son, Steve Jones; daughter, Susan Leonard; sister, Virginia and husband, Eldon Adams; brothers: Kenneth Myers, Pete Myers and Raymond Myers.

The family would like to thank Traditions Hospice, all of the nursing staff especially,  Michelle, Brandi, Trevor and Susan.  Shelbyville Manor and all of the staff who provided care for our mom and a special "Thank You" for the homecare given by Kim & Ty Underwood especially, our camping trips, Hannah Houser, Brookie Spa, Cindy Anderson, Sharon Powell, Bobbi Aydt, Amy, Nathan, Hannah, Colby and Jason.  We would also like to thank our family, friends and co-workers for their support.
