Joyce E. Steffen, 89, of Moweaqua, died August 31, 2022 in Moweaqua Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in First Baptist Church of Moweaqua.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Joyce was born on January 26, 1933 in Barnhill, IL, the daughter of John Thomas and Freda Mildred (Fowler) Hooper.  She married Leo Lawrence Steffen on April 15, 1956 in Decatur, IL.  He preceded her in death on November 16, 2019.  Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church of Moweaqua and a homemaker.

Surviving are her children: Larry (Angie) Steffen of Moweaqua, IL, Jim Steffen of Springfield, IL and Ritha (Zip) Sirbaugh of Pana, IL; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and brothers: Robert Dale Hooper, Sr. of Fairfield, IL and Dennis (Lora) Hooper of Watseka, IL.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, and one sister.
