Josie Lee Muncy, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 6, 2019.

Josie was born July 10, 1923 in Cordell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Peter and Kathrina Schultz.  She married Curtis Martin, May 9, 1940 in El Reno, Oklahoma and John Muncy, October 11, 1974 in South Gate, California.  Both preceded her in death.

Josie was a member of Knott Avenue Christian Church, Anaheim, CA.  She retired from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company in 1980.  In retirement Josie enjoyed serving as a volunteer for many organizations: Fair Havens Nursing Home, Hope International University Heirloom Shoppe, and Eunice Club of Lincoln Christian College.  She enjoyed many hobbies and playing bingo.

Surviving are her daughters Kathy Stolhand (Robert) and Dixie Shewmaker (Rodger); grandchildren: Chris McKinney (Carole), Wendy Gibson (Glen), Susan Probst (Bill), Scott McKinney (Tammy), Michael McKinney (Stepahnie), Doug Stolhand (Jackie), Andie Book (Mark), Beth Shewmaker; as well as 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.  Josie was preceded in death by her daughter, Loritta McKinney, July 11, 2014.

Celebration of Life Service was held April 14, 2019 in Capistrano Beach, CA.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL.  Memorials may be made to Mathetes Philippine Youth Mission for property purchase.
